How is the date of ovulation calculated?
In a 28-day cycle, ovulation typically occurs on day 14, i.e., in the middle of the cycle. However, the actual time of ovulation depends on the individual cycle length, which can vary from woman to woman. If the cycle deviates from the usual 28 days, the time of ovulation also shifts. In a 30-day cycle, for example, ovulation is more likely to occur around day 16 or 17. If the cycle is shorter, ovulation can occur before day 14.
